Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Champion was my teacher for several classes including Public Speaking. Public Speaking was a nerve wracking class. My assignment was to speak about a hobby. My speech was a hit but what I really remember was Mrs. Champion calling my parents at home to tell them what a great job I had done. I've never forgotten her or her praise. I respected and admired her immensely. She was an amazing woman who touched many lives.
Laura Anderson 1982

I will never forget Mrs. Champion and owe her a great debt of gratitude for introducing me to classic literature like Beowolf (pronounced like only she could). I have thought of her often and remember her fondly. She was truly one of a kind. EKHS 1985

I am very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Champion was a great teacher. My first class with her was an intro to theatre class. I was not very outgoing but she made all of us feel so at ease. That class was one of my favorites. I also met Mrs. Champion one night at the Bostwick Lake Inn. I was playing in an "oldies" band for the WWII vets on Monday nights. Mrs. Champion was so much fun to talk to that night. I couldn't wait for our break so I could sit at her table. I have some wonderful memories of...

I am so sorry for your lost. Your mom was a wonderful teacher. May God be with you at this time.

Jenny and Micah I am sorry for your loss. I know how much your Granny meant to you. Michelle Kooiman

I am so sorry for your loss. Your mother was a wonderful teacher that reached hundreds if not thousands of students during her teaching career. Whenever I have to write a paper or someone asks me to proofread a paper for them, I think of your mom. If it weren't for her I wouldn't know how to be short and concise in my writing. You mom was a "tough" teacher, but that is one reason I wanted to take her classes. I knew I'd learn more from her than other teachers because she had high expectations...

Mrs. Champion - what a great sur name for the champion of teachers! I had the pleasure and honor of being a student of her's at EKHS (1982). With trepidation I took my first class since her reputation was for being a tough teacher! I traveled to Ontario to attend the Shakespeare Festival with her and attribute the skills I learned in her Public Speaking course to my success in college and many subsequent management and performance roles I've held. She was a caring, committed and...

Cory, Christy and Micah: You are the family members I know and I wanted to send you my condolences. I met your mom and grandma at the West Side Christian School office and she was a great lady. She loved her family and I am honored to have known her. My prayers are with you.

My deepest sympathies Dan. She sounds like she was a fabulous and interesting mother. Wish I would have met her. Kathy Molner
