Read MoreMrs. Davenport was my favorite teacher, I had her for 6th grade in a added building at Washington Heights a couple of years after her first year. She was a fun teacher. My son had her years later just a couple of years before she retired. We both felt lucky to have had her.

Mrs. Davenport was my 4th grade teacher at Washington Heights Elementary. She was one of my favorite teachers. The thing I remember most about her was how she would read to our class with such a warm and calming voice. Prayers and condolences to her family.
