I was deeply saddened to learn of the premature passing of one of my best childhood friends. A natural-born leader, Meg knew how to make everyone at ease with her classy personality. She was also extremely loyal and kind, possessing rare courage to live life on her own terms. I send each family member a warm hug as you heal, along with gratitude for sharing her with all of us who were lucky enough to call her "my friend." God bless you all! I was shocked to hear of the passing of Meg. I was also lucky to have known the immediate Deal family. Each of you being equally warm and intelligent. My deepest and truly heartfelt sympathies go out to you all, especially to my old friend Nancy. And to Mrs. Deal, may you find the strength you need to move forward.
