Not sure what to say?

Dear Peg,
I will miss seeing and talking to you as I visited my mother in Tockwotton Home. You are a joy and always had a kind word or thought to share with everyone. My family and I will deeply miss you.
May you rest in peace.

Mrs.D. was my first 'boss' at the downtown library. I started working part-time for her in 1964 when I started college. She was the epitome of public service. She was also great at recognizing the best qualities of her staff and getting them to rise to the top. With her encouragement, as well as the encouragement of my other wonderful supervisors at PPL. I finished college, went on to library school and am still employed at the library. After she retired she became one of our 'best' patrons ...

Peg Deignan was the heart and soul of the Providence Public Library for nearly 50 years and I was lucky enough to share 13 of them. A force of nature she was loved and admired & the proudest boast was to be able to say "I learned from Mrs. Deignan".

I loved Peg Deignan. She was an extraordinary person and a perfect librarian. She was particularly fond of my late husband, William E. Reeves, MD. Bill was Vinnie's internist, and made a difficult diagnosis that prolonged Vin's life by many years. My kids and I went to Rochambeau when she was there. We'll never forget her. I'm enclosing an article I'm submitting to the newsletter of the RI Coalition of Library Advocates, a grassroots organization of library supporters whose Board Peg...

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I will always have warm memories of, "Grandma D".

It was always a pleasure to walk into the library and be met with a warm smile and a suggested book, that contained just the right story to share with the many children whose life she enriched. May her stories be retold.
She was a gem of a person.

Dear Rick, Maureen and family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy. Peg was special to so many of us at PPL, as a co-worker, a supervisor, but, most of all as a friend. We cannot attend her Mass but she is certainly in our thoughts and prayers as are all of you.
Most Sincerely,
Mary & Jack McKenna

From one Margaret to another....Thanks for all the wonderful memories..."God Bless"

Peg Deignan was a delightful person who led an admirable life! It's hard to imagine that she has gone. Condolences to the family.
