Peggy Fisher and the Fisher family lived next door to my family in Arlington for decades. I remember her as an amazing, dynamic woman, an extremely civic minded and involved community member, and a very talented artist. My condolences to the family.

I was not familiar with Margaret W. Fisher before I read her obituary in the Washington Post on July 02, 2012. But I was so impressed with her biography that I search for information about her poetry. I recommend looking at: "Guide to the Margaret W. Fisher papers, 1943-1993"

Remembering all the happy political gatherings at the Fisher home and the Fairfax Symphony concerts and other events we enjoyed together. Peggy's artwork has long been an important part of my home. Her passing truly marks the end of an era in Arlington.

With deepest sympathy to the family during your time of sorrow. Psalms 46:1 says: God is for us a refuge and strength during this difficult time and may God grant you the comfort to endure.
