Liebe Margaret
Gruess...

Margaret was truly a lovely and generous person. I will always be grateful to her for being so kind and helpful to my parents, Billy and Letty Carter. Today, I lit a candle at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, DC to honor and celebrate her life. “Rest in Peace”

She was a pioneer in computer science in our school, headed up many committees, including purchasing the furniture in the library, which is still a beautiful reminder of her love of books and reading, and...

I have known Margaret since childhood when my parents (Bay City) visited Margaret's parents at their Munger farm. In recent years we kept in touch through correspondence and e-mail. She had retained her German language skills, being raised in a home German-speaking environment, and frequently helped me in translating some items I found among my parent's papers. She was very generous in sharing photos and information gathered during her...
