MARGARET FOGEL

I was Margaret's Martial Arts Instructor. Margaret was an absolute human anomaly. To this day, I have never met anyone like her. At 100 lbs. soaking wet and 60 years old, she would fight with my 25 to 35 year old men. If they went easy on her, she would get angry and say "stop going easy on me!" She would be punched, kicked and thrown to the ground. Every single time... she got back up. She suffered several gruesome injuries that required surgeries and each time... she came back. I never...

Margaret was my friend, workout partner and inspiration at Steve Nugent's Karate. She had the heart of a true warrior, and found no obstacle insurmountable. Her dedication and commitment lead me and many others to work harder, to be the best I could be and she continues to inspire me to this day. I will miss her with all my heart.

A Collage of memories will be with me always as follows... Margaret and Sam in their front yard tending the Earth... planning planting seeding weeding....all kinds of colors and life abounding....Margaret running her hands along the leaves of growth new and mature.... checking the netting keeping mettlesome creatures out...for a time...content with her assessments.... Margaret and Sam taking walks and strolls around the neighborhood....they are beacons of the seasons of daily neighborly winks...
