Joe,
I was a neighbor in Park Plaza and had great admiration for your Art.
I met Murlene at the Art Gallery on Center St. I learned more Art appreciation from her.
I met you once in the gallery with your two little poodles.
I baught quite a few limited addition prints and two originals.
I still think you are the greatest Western Artist of all time.
I'm so sorrow for your loss.

Cousin Joe, this is Aunt Willie Mae and Uncle Melvin Mann's daughter Cathlene Mann Herrell. I am sadden to hear of Cousin Murlene's passing from Aunt Ruby. I live in Las Vegas, NV now and cannot come to Texas for her funeral. I have several prints of yours and have started collecting them because your work is wonderful and Murlene saw that in you too. Come see me if you get to Las Vegas. We love you lots. Call me 702-606-3472.

Dear Joe,
I don't know if you remember me or not but I used to work for Roy English and did some work for you and Murlene on occasion. You did the caricature of Tom Jones for me many moons ago. I also tried to get you on my cable tv show later on. Anyway, I am so sorry to learn of Murlene's death. She was such a sweet and kind lady and I truly enjoyed her company. God bless you and your families.
