Margaret F. Hnath, daughter of Andrew J. and Anna Mae (Laundry) Pitteroff, was born January 26, 1939 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her education in Pittsburgh.


        On September 17, 1960, Margaret was united in marriage to James E. Hnath in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. To this union three children were born.


Margaret was employed at Shady Side Hospital in Pittsburgh for twenty seven years before retiring.   After retiring, Margaret and James moved to Ayrshire to be closer to their family.


Margaret was a huge Elvis fan and enjoyed playing Bingo and card games with her family and friends. She was also on a bowling league and loved watching wrestling on TV.


Margaret passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at her home in Ayrshire, Iowa, at the age of 81. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Anna Mae; her husband, James; and three sisters, Mary Bell, Louise Knorr and Virginia Fallert.


She is survived by her children, Marge Hnath (Dale Miller) of Emmetsburg, Iowa, James Hnath of Curlew, Iowa and Cindy Hnath of Ayrshire, Iowa; grandchildren, Kristen Fedele (Cody), David Barsotti (Amanda), Paul Barsotti (Leslie), Michael Fedele, and M.J. Dusch (Alyssa); a great grandchildren, Anthony, Mackaiah, Addie, Kailyx, Aivleigh, Emreigh, Gia, Liliana, Destiny, Emma, Judd, Ryker and Kyriah; brothers, Andrew Pitteroff; step-brother, James Pitteroff; sisters, Dorothy Buszko and Ann Lehrman (Ron); step sister, Donna; nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
