I just heard the news of dear Margaret's passing yesterday when I had a divinely synchronisric meeting with a friend of Margaret's from Birmingham. I was and am deeply saddened to hear about her passing. I had the pleasure of meeting Margaret in the early nineties in new England at a women's herbal conference. I loved her curious and adventurous spirit and her openness to life and people. I was honored and privileged to be part of a group of women friends of Margaret's...

I am not far from Margaret's house in Old Chatham, NY. The last time I was here--I stayed with Margaret while helping with the move into the beautiful old home overlooking the Hudson River Valley. That was almost exactly 5 years ago--on Memorial Day weekend of 2019. I just drove through Chatham and was, of course, reminded on our long-term friendship and the several times we met with our fellow classmates at Putney School reunions. Margaret flew out to Telluride in June of 2009 for a...

My Margaret, My first experience of Margaret was with the phrase, "Margaret is my favorite." I heard this many times before I met her. That alone had a profound effect on me. I mean, what an introduction. I was to find out that she had that effect on many people. Margaret was unique and I am not just saying this. Margaret is all the things you want in a good friend. You just want to say good things about Her and I loved being in Margaret´s good graces. I think being otherwise would...

Even though I hadn't seen her in a long time, I still see the smile that lit up a room. Her laugh.. Special person indeed!

A beautiful friend--since 1976. I last saw Margaret at her Old Chatham home--helping her move in 2 years ago on Memorial Day weekend.
I was fortunate to have several visits over the past decades--twice to N.C.---and she flew out here to SW Colorado in July of 2009. I am heartbroken over losing such a friend. A generous spirit--she was always willing to help in any way she could.
Perhaps we will meet again, dear Margaret. XXO Jack

I would like to extend my condolences in behalf of the Jemison family. Sorry for your loss. May you find peace in God who brings comfort to all the mourning ones.

Margaret was a special friend of the Golden Temple. She had a light and spirit which uplifted us. May God bless her soul and embrace her.
