MOUNTAIN TOP — Margaret Emily "Peggy" Jenkins peacefully passed away to the other side, surrounded by family, listening to classical music.

Peggy was born Nov. 6, 1944. She grew up in Laurel Run, Pa., and graduated Susquehanna University with a BA in German and archaeology.

Peggy took great pride in her Welsh heritage. Her passions included traveling, gardening, singing in choirs, and loving her family and animals very deeply. Her sweet and funny personality remained with her until she joined the heavenly choir, just like she wanted.

Peggy is survived by granddaughter, Jane Jenkins; daughter, Priscilla Smith; son-in-law, Michael Smith; sister-in- law, Norma Gregory; as well as multiple beloved cousins.

There will be no service held. McCune Funeral Service, Mountain Top, assisted the family with the arrangements.

Not sure what to say?

Happy memories digging with Peggy at Owslebury, Hampshire, UK. It was great keeping in touch.

My condolences to Prescilla and Jane. I was a friend of Peg and Stu's from the 1970's when they lived in Virginia. I always enjoyed Peg and her sense of humor. I was poking around trying to find old friends. Very sorry to hear of Peg's passing. Best, Jay Duvon

Peggy, cousin Libby and I grew up together,Peggy at the top of S.Dickerson St. Aunt Jane Pickett down thehill, with me on the weekends, and Libby over on North Dickerson.
Peggy and Mom,my Aunt Margaret, were very active in Girl Scouts and it is in their memory that I became the Chaplain for BSA#452 IN Mays Landing,NJ. Females are now joining the boy scouts, earning the same merit badges, and earning the rank of Eagle Scout. Aunt Margaret and Peggy would have fit right in❤❤❤

A friend since first grade when we were skipped to third in the Laurel Run school. Spent many interesting days exploring the woods and mountains surrounding the borough. I will truly miss her humor and friendship. Jane and Priscilla I know you will miss her tremendously. I am so sorry you didn´t have her longer.

Good friends since we both skipped second grade in the Laurel Run School. Jane and Priscilla, I am so sorry for this profound loss, but grateful that she departed peacefully. I have missed her presence on FB and worried for her. Wishing you peace and happy memories.
