Not sure what to say?

I loved her. An avid reader, she was a role model for me. My favorite memory looks like this. Margaret drapes herself sideways in an easy chair, engrossed in her book. Fourteen years younger, I sit on a sofa near her and read my Nancy Drew. Margaret steered me to higher goals in reading choices. Tactfully. Thank you, Margaret.

I have such happy memories of "Mag"and Bill hiking on the Appalachian Trail and spotting rare wild flowers. Like those rare flowers, she was a gift wherever she appeared.

William, Beth, Marty, Caroline, Lu-
How well I remember Margaret as a beautiful teen ager, draped over a chair reading her latest library book. I was very young during those summers when Margaret & Sarah visited us in Smithfield. Those sisters made a lasting impact on me. What wonderful role models for a little girl. I am sad for the loss, glad for the luck of sharing a bit of the Margaret experience and later to see the Loaring-Clark Jones family at special times as your family...

Beth and Marty and the rest of the family,
I am sad to read of your mom's passing. I remember her well when you were in Memphis. I think fondly of all of you and have wondered where you settled. Best wishes from an old St. Mary's friend. Bonnie Parish Moody, Oakland TN
