Sending my deepest sympathies and prayers for comfort to the Kavanagh family, and thoughts of gratitude for one of the most influential teachers I have ever had. Mrs. Kavanagh made us feel like we were more than just a class full of ten year-olds, smarter and capable of more than we ourselves believed. Dear Mrs. Kavanagh, RIP. you were my 4th grade teacher. I remember you'd bring K.C. to class with you from time to time. I remember your daughter, Anne, came to talk to us kids because she was a famous reporter. She was a great teacher, very warm. and I remember i was having some problems at home and she took me aside privately and asked if i was ok. Though I write to offer deepest condolances to the Kavanaugh family I also write to thank you for sharing Mrs. Kavanaugh with all of us who were lucky enough to have experienced her as a teacher and mentor. During this sad time I hope each of you take some measure of comfort in the incredible impact she had on countless lives through her exceptional teaching career.
