Peggy was one of my colleagues at the Louisiana Department of Education and she was an exceptional professional. She is missed by many including the foreign language education community in Louisiana and beyond.

Peggy was a very good friend and colleague. During the summers of 1995 and 1996 I had the honor of serving as co-director of the SAM workshops designed for Louisiana teachers of French and Spanish. The more than 60 teachers who participated expressed immense respect for her knowledge of the field and for her thoughtful personality. She will be missed by her family as well as by all the educators that she touched.

I had the honor and privilege of working with Peggy as I learned how to work with the implementation of CODOFIL in East Baton Parish Schools. Without her guidance, we would not have succeeded . She was truly a remarkable educator with a strong commitment to the youth of Louisiana. She leaves behind a legacy matched by few. Celebrate her life and legacy.
