Margaret E. "Peggy" Lance, 78, of North Bangor, PA passed away Sunday, February 5th, at Hackettstown Memorial Hospital, Hackettstown, NJ.

Peggy was born in Phillipsburg, NJ on October 27, 1944, a daughter of the late Casper and Margaret Ellen (Housel) Walters.

Peggy was the wife of Kenneth R. Lance. Together, they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this past December. She was a 1963 graduate of Washington High School in Washington, NJ.  Peggy was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper at Clinton Acura in Clinton, NJ, until retiring. She was an avid reader, and bowler and enjoyed bowling in various local leagues and tournaments.

Peggy was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Broadway, NJ, where she served as the church organist for many years.

In addition to her husband, Kenneth, Margaret is survived by a daughter, Christine Miller, wife of Kenneth, a son, Kenneth "Butch" Lance, a sister, Carolyn Walters, five grandchildren Amy Hadaway wife of Dan, Travis Miller husband of Melissa, Cody and Dylan Mettler and Zack Lance and four great-grandchildren Daniel and Elizabeth Hadaway, Wesley Miller, and Jacob Kenneth Richard Lance.  Peggy was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law Tracy Lance.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM on Monday, February 13th at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10  to 11 AM on Monday, February 13th at the funeral home.  burial will be held at North Bangor Cemetery, Bangor, PA. Have been smiling with all of my memories of Aunt Peggy---from being about 5 at your wedding and her letting us take some of the decorations which I treasured and saved. I looked up to her so much as a little girl and then to get to know her in other ways as we all got older. Visits to your house and the farm were so special and...

Ken, Carolyn and family. we are so sorry to hear of Peggys passing. we were very close growing up in Broadway especially when her Dad had the doggie stand I'd ride my bike down and hang out playing tag or hide and seek .Fun times. was always impressed how loyal she was to the church by playing the organ from her teenage years until her retirement.she will never be forgotten and may she Rest In Peace

Carolyn I am sorry to hear of your sisters passing. I remember her beautiful music when I came to a Broadway Church service, and also when she was a guest pianist at Port Colden May your memories bring you peace and joy. God Bless You.
