Margaret “Peggy” Theresa (Goodchild) LaPierre, 80, of Pine Street, Attleboro; formerly of Norton and North Attleboro; died on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at the Life Care Center of Attleboro where she had been a resident for the past two months. She was the former wife of Arthur Roland LaPierre of Florida.

Born in Attleboro, Massachusetts on June 27, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Margaret (Fanning) Goodchild. Raised and educated in Attleboro, Mrs. LaPierre returned to Attleboro four years ago from Norton where she had resided for two years. Prior to moving to Norton, she was a resident of North Attleboro and Attleboro.

Mrs. LaPierre was a devoted and dedicated homemaker who focused her life on her two children.

She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church, Attleboro.

An ardent reader, Mrs. LaPierre enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles, watching television and treasured the companionship of her late beloved pet birds.

However, she will be most affectionately remembered as a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox.

She leaves her daughter and best friend: Theresa M. LaPierre of North Attleboro; a son: Paul A. LaPierre, Sr. of Ocala, Florida; a grandson: Paul A. LaPierre, Jr. of North Attleboro; a sister: Mary E. Boyers of North Attleboro and a brother: Joseph P. Goodchild of North Attleboro.

Visitation has been respectfully omitted.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend Funeral Services on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 4:00 PM in the “Memorial Chapel” of the DYER-LAKE FUNERAL HOME, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.

Burial will be private.

It is the wish of the LaPierre family that extended family members and friends join them following services at a location to be announced for a time of fellowship, sharing of memories and refreshments.

Children’s room available during the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers and if desired, memorial donations in Mrs. LaPierre’s name and honor be made to the Community VNA Hospice Care, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.

Yes she will be watching over her family and all the people she that she prayed for. She has entered into a better place where there are no worries or bad words spoken a place of serenity. All the roses are purple and the birds sing day and night. Peggy gave me a gift that had no price tag unconditional love. She will be missed. love betty

As I sit and look at her picture, I can't image how god could take away such a warm and wonderful Human Being. She knows she was loved and that is the best feeling. She is looking down upon you right know saying, Don't worry honey, it will be fine and I am at peace.

She was a kind lady , and even thow i haven`t seen you guys in 30 or more years , i still remember your Mom teaseing me because i use to blush all the time.May she rest in peace.
