Chambers Funeral Homes - North Olmsted Obituary

Margaret Mary Brady (nee Margie Chambers) of North Olmsted, OH passed away June 2, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.  Beloved wife of 61+ years to John F. Brady. Loving Mother of Karen Kranyak (Dan), Julie Blogna, (Dan, deceased), Eileen Grant (Guy) and Maggie Brady.  Dearest grandmother of Katie, Trisha (James), Lauren, Brittany (deceased), Erin (Scott), Abigail, Charlie, Sawsha, Leah, Sean, and Seamus. Great grandmother of Roman, Phoenix, Rowan, and Rue. Born July 19,1932 in Cleveland, OH the first of three children to Patrick and Catherine Chambers (nee Green) (both deceased). Sister of Patrick (Nancy, nee Prok), and Kathleen Bush (Robert), all deceased. Aunt and cousin to many including 72 first cousins alone, mostly in the Cleveland area.

Margie graduated from St. Steven’s High School in Cleveland and went on to teach at St. Colman’s Elementary School and St. Ignatius Elementary School. She then worked for The East Ohio Gas Company.  After staying home with her 4 girls, Margie worked at St. Richard’s with small groups of elementary aged students in reading and math intervention.  She loved to cook and hosted many family events.  She also loved to read, work crosswords, play word games, and preferred to be at home.  The slow loss of her sight affected her greatly.

Visitation will be held at Chambers Funeral Home, 29150 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted on Monday, June 6 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of St. Clarence on Tuesday, June 7, at 10:00 a.m.  A future burial will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation at jdrf.org.
