Margaret Gipson Madden went home to be with her Savior on October 20, 2025. She died peacefully, secure in the hope of the resurrection and filled with complete trust in Jesus.
Margaret, born April 5, 1952 in St. Louis, Missouri, was the beloved wife of the late Jerome "Jerry" Madden, loving mother of Joseph (Molly) Madden, and loving grandmother of Simon Jerome Madden. She is also survived by her sisters Mary (Thomas) Logan, Martha Gipson (Stephen Vatterott), and Marie Allen (Robert Geekie); and her brothers Philip (Pamela) Gipson and Christopher Gipson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Geraldine Gipson, and her brother, Thomas Gipson. She was a dear aunt, cousin, and friend of many more.
Margaret was warm, sociable, highly intelligent, and selfless. She was an empathetic listener, and she enjoyed a good laugh. She loved the music of the '60s and '70s, and she could be counted on to remember the lyrics. She served children through volunteer work in the St. Louis area for many years, and even very late in her life, Margaret was unfailingly considerate of others. Decades of walking with the Lord shaped her gentle and beautiful spirit.
She treasured her siblings and their families and thought the world of all of them, and she was especially delighted by her grandson Simon. Margaret and Jerry were married for forty-two wonderful years, all spent in her hometown of St. Louis, where she will be laid to rest alongside Jerry.

I treasure, my precious, dear, sweet, beautiful sister, forever. She has been my prayer partner all through the years. She sent me a card many many years ago that I kept which had the scripture, all fear is driven out by perfect love. I love you, Margaret Josephine Gipson Madden!
