Not sure what to say?

To the North Family, you have my sincere condolences. Mrs. North was my strings teacher from 9th-12 grade at Shaw High School. It was Mrs. North who got me involved with the Mobile Symphony Orchestra when hardly any African-American students participated in such activities. I am today a classical/jazz pianist, and music eduactor. I still can play the violin thanks to Mrs. North and her patience wtih a silly adolescent .

I have many fond memories of Mrs. North from early childhood when I used to go to her house in Mobile to play with her sons Sammy and Steve. She was always so gracious and welcoming. I enjoyed several trips to her family's summer home in Montrose.

Margaret lovingly called us her Yankee cousins, and we thought that she was one of the sweetest southern belles that we have ever known. Your Hoosier Carpenter cousins will truly miss you, Margaret.

Mrs. North is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. She always reached out in love to anyone who came her way. Her son and his family will miss her greatly, but she is in a better place. God love her.
