Not sure what to say?

The legacy this woman left behind her is a statement of what an amazing person she was. I recently commented on the Old Girl's Facebook page and this was followed by an avalanche of women whose daily lives are still affected by her. Old fashioned values and recipes that so many of us still treasure today.

Miss Outram, visiting,Ruskington Brownies as District Comissioner on the late 1970s. Miss Outram is second from the left, back row.

I loved Miss Outram, she was my first form tutor at the High School, she taught me to cook and to sew. She mafe a lasting impression on me and I've thought of her often in the years since I left the school. I'm sad to hear of her passing. RIP

How terribly sad to hear the news of the passing away of our dear teacher, Miss Outram. So memorable with her fantastic hair style and kind, firm but fair nature - just what you want in a teacher. My friends are amazed to hear all the fundamental recipes we were taught from suet pudding, to Swiss Rolls, Victoria sandwich and even a cooked breakfast! I still have and use such recipes, especially for Gingerbread. And a great help to those of us taking Duke of Edinburgh's award. For£ly...

Aw so sad, wonderful teacher, I loved her sewing lessons and still sew now thanks to her. Always remembered, rest in peace.

A lovely lady and teacher; thank you so much Miss Outram for all you put into life at KSHS x. Fiona Taylor(nee Kirk) at school 1973-1980.

In memory of a Miss Outram , May you rest in peace

A lady who influenced my life taught me to sew and cook both of which 40 years later are still passions of mine ..and I earn my living sewing because of skills she encouraged me to develope. Not only a teacher but a guide leader too who looked into the pan of a rather disasterous looking mush on the campfire and with a little smile commented slight improvement on cooking in the classroom .... Lovely lady who although strict was fair and kind. Sleep tight xx

What a wonderful teacher and Guider for the Girl Guides. My mother spent many a day and evening with Margaret as part of the Guiding Association. Margaret was my form teacher and Domestic Science teacher and I still remember her teachings to this day. A truly wonderful lady x
