Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Oxley was my 2nd grade teacher and I think about her a lot. At 8 years old, she taught me so much about myself and the world. Her love for reading and books is the reason why I have decided to pursue creating a children's book. Now at 26, I remember her as the woman who never stopped teaching and had such a burning passion for it. You were so loved Mrs. Oxley, you have impacted me and continue to do so even 20+ years later.

What a wonderful teacher she was. I had the privilege of being in her second grade class and still think of her from time to time, especially when I find a particularly good new book. She certainly loved her students and had a lot of love in her heart. It was a joy to have known her.

Just thinking about Peggy again today. She made such a huge impact on so many children and teachers. We all miss her amazing smile and ability to connect so personally with everyone.

Peggy was part of our bookclub. We are making a donation to have an engraved stone insert in the Main Walkway of the Columbus Park of Roses. The plate will state: In Memory of Peggy Oxley, Friend, Teacher, Lover of Books

She was one of the best Clintonville Moms. Always warm and welcoming into her home no matter what was going on. I know how hard this will be for Joan and all of her kids and grandkids. I wish them nothing but happy and fond memories to help them get through this difficult time. Her legacy will live on in the lives of so many. May she rest in peace and in the loving arms of her husband.

Hearing that Mrs. Oxley passed away absolutely broke my heart. I am so blessed to have had the privilege to learn from this incredibly inspirational, loving and kind woman. Both of my younger sisters also had her for a second grade teacher and I will never forget how she always remembered me and the grade I was in when I frequently stopped by her classroom to say hello. She always made her students feel special. It takes a very special teacher to make such a lasting impression in such a...

Eternal Friendship Remembrance Bouquet - VASE INCLUDED

My heart is broken.... Mrs. Oxley is the reason I became a teacher. She was a fascinating person, mentor, friend, and inspiration to me and hundreds of others. My life is better because of Mrs. Oxley. Not only did I have the honor and privilege of being her student, but also a coworker at St. Pauls. When I started teaching at St. Pauls in the early 90s, Mrs. Oxley told me, You know Colby, you can call me Peggy. My response was, Oh no I cant! It would be like calling the Pope by his first...

Mrs. Oxley was my most favorite teacher of all time. She was so very kind and patient! I remember the books she had us create, studying a tree outside the classroom window during each season. She was my second grade teacher in 1990/1991. I had a bike accident the following summer and she brought me a balloon bouquet in a coffee mug! I kept the mug for years and years because it was so special to me that Mrs. Oxley had brought it, to my house! During summer! (Imagine how special that felt to...
