Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home of Avon Park Obituary

Margaret Priscilla Richards was born April 12, 1929, in Arcadia, FL., to the late Judge Joe D. Kinsey and Mabel Kinsey. She went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, October 19, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was 92 years old. Margaret graduated from Sebring High School where she married her high school sweetheart (Emmitt Richards) and was crowned Ms. Sebring High. She was widowed by 2 husbands and raised 3 boys (Dennis, Billy, and Keith) with her first husband Emmitt in Avon Park, FL. Everyone knew her as Ms. Margie, Grandma or GranMargie. She was raised Presbyterian and then in the mid-1980's became a member of Florida Avenue Baptist Church by believers baptism. She was very active in church and loved her ladies Sunday School class. Margaret was also an inspiration and like a mother to so many of her relatives. She had a long career in banking, where she served as the vice president of First National Bank of Sebring. She was the most patient and kind lady. Never one to complain, even in her later years. She never wanted to be a burden to her family. That's why she chose to live at Resthaven for the last 7 years of her life. Her family was everything to her.

She is survived by her 3 sons Dennis (Pam), Billy (Brenda) and Keith (Debbie); 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 2 others. The family has asked that contributions to Ms. Margie can be made to Resthaven. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on October 23, 2021, at Bougainvillea Cemetery in Avon Park, FL, with Pastor Joe Butler of First Baptist Church in Wauchula, FL presiding. A luncheon will follow the service at 12:30pm at Cornerstone Christian Academy Social Hall, in Avon Park. All are welcome to attend.
