Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Ride was the best teacher ever! She had a sweet and warming soul. I will always remember her.

Greetings to the Rife family. My name is Janine Hoke and I was a 5th grade student in Mrs. Rifes class 72-73. I never had a better teacher throughout all of my subsequent education. She inspired me to make my inner desire to become a teacher come true. Im now a director in Alief ISD here in Houston and I think of her often. I should have made an effort to reach out to her in my adult life to let her know of her continued impact. She was super special and her name is always the one I will...

I am saddened to learn of Mrs. Rife's passing.

I had the privilege of having her as my homeroom teacher when I was in the 5th grade. I think I speak for anyone that was ever in her class when I say that I will never forget her or the education, mannerism, and discipline that she instilled in me. I am not surprised that there is a reading hall named after her. She certainly deserved it and a lot more!

I will never forget her shaking her head and saying to me "The very...

It's been a year now, Mom, since you had to leave us to go on to your last big adventure, as Cameron says. I miss you so, so much. Your passing leaves a void that can never be filled, because you were such an important part of my life even after I was grown and out of the house. For all that you did for all of us, thank you isn't nearly enough. I strive each day to be a teacher of your caliber and to make a difference in my community as you did. The poem I wrote after Daddy died applies to...

Margaret Houslea Rife was my mothers cousin her mother and my grandmother where sisters. I still remember Margaret coming to our house in Fazakerly Liverpool and enchanting my brother and i with stories about Space travel and what would happen to us she used say" you will srivel up like a sausage in the atmosphere" I remember her husband and how exciting it was to know someone who married an American. She looks so like her mother Aunt Flo. My mother was Margerat Nee Kelly. I came across...

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Margaret. She was a special, beautiful lady. I'm sorry I only learned of her passing over the weekend as I have been on vacation else I would have been in attendance at her service. May God Bless each of you and bring you peace and comfort as you transition to life without her. I have sweet memories of she and Clyde in days gone by and your memories will bring you comfort and great joy in days/years to come.

Our prayers are with and for you and your mother and family for God's peace, mercy, and comfort. She is a great lady, and I am sure she is "teaching" many in the classes in Heaven! I enjoyed my many encounters with her and found her wisdom priceless. I will always appreciate her going to mass for me and Mary (when Tom and my Mary were in dire straits). The kids and I enjoyed our visit with her in her retirement home as well. She was (and still is...I am sure...in Heaven above) a joy to...

Ms. Rife was my fifth grade teacher and my fist teacher here in the states, my family and I arrived from Mexico in 1996. As a young non-English speaking kid I was hesitant about starting school, I was worried my language barrier would hinder my ability to be myself with my fellow students and even my teacher. I was fortunate that my mother was offered a job in the school which made me feel a bit more at ease but my worries lingered. First day of school I remember arriving early to the school...

Ms Rife was my son's 5th Gr. Teacher at Westwood in 1996. We arrived from Mexico. My children were non English speaker students. She was a remarkable teacher, one that will do anything to make her students feel welcomed, loved, secure, and ready to learn. Mrs Rife not only teach them she care for their well being. There were times when I saw her go to the store to purchase shoes and supplies to provide to her students in need. Mrs Rife was such a caring, kind and supporting teacher not...
