Not sure what to say?

Dearest Peggy, That's you in the middle, next to me and Ada. About 1942 I would guess. It was a wonderful 80 years, many cherished memories. High school, college, Cape Cod and Naples. We will miss you every day. Jules and Penny

I remember Miss Rabinowitz as a beautiful young woman when she first came to SHS (I was class of '66). She was not one of my teachers, but even the students she didn't teach learned from her. She was kind and caring to all. She had a big personality and a great smile. Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious. I would feel energized just walking past her in the halls. My deepest sympathy to her family and to all who knew and loved her.

All of us who knew and loved Peggy would admit that because of her keen intellect, her sharp sense of humor, her compassion and her joie de vivre, she will always live in our collective memories. She was a consummate teacher and loyal friend.
She helped make our summers in Chatham filled with fun, good conversation, summer theater, gourmet food, and high drama. You always knew when she was in the room and we all know what she would think and say about the precarious times that we are now...

I read a book once. And it was because Ms. Russo made me. I will always be grateful to her for that. In her honor, I plan to read another one, someday.

Thank you, Ms. Russo. You were a wonderful teacher. I only wish I had told you that fourty-five years ago.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Margaret was a wonderful lady! She was always well dressed and had an astounding wit about her. She and Jim were good friends of my mom and her husband; Donna Rae & Bob. I enjoyed many a dinner at DiJulios Italian Restaurant. We would visit and laugh together. RIP Margaret and take care dear Jim xoxo

My condolences to the family.. she was an excellent teacher & will never forget her class.

Peggy was like extended family and a beautiful wonderful support system for me my entire life. I have so many fond memories from the Cape, Florida, and Kenya. I can't imagine my childhood without her

To the Russo family,

Please accept my most heart felt condolences.

Another fine teacher at Stonington High School Everette Pouliot passed in Jan. of this year. Both had classrooms next to one another, in the same wing, @ SHS. I had the pleasure of being taught by each throughout my high school years.

She was a wonderful and sincere teacher who truly cared about her students. Many of her teachings I used throughout my career in education.

May the memories of her...

Mrs. Russo was a fabulous teacher and a great role model for me. She started a scholarship at SHS in the 80s with her husband and I was the first recipient. I will always remember her with affection.
