Margaret Helen (Haddad) Sabbagh (94), wife of the late Samuel J. Sabbagh of Pawtucket, RI, fell asleep in the Lord on August 27, 2021 after a brief illness. They had been married 64 years. She was the daughter of the late Mitry Haddad and Skeya (Zammat) Haddad both of Damascus, Syria. Margaret is survived by three sons: Joseph Sabbagh and his wife Jo-Ann (St. Andre) Sabbagh; Dr. Thomas Sabbagh and his wife Joanne (Kayata) Sabbagh; Kenneth Sabbagh and his wife Ann (Ciaccio) Sabbagh; and two daughters: Judith (Sabbagh) Rawan and her husband M. Wayne Rawan; and Joyce (Sabbagh) Perry and her husband Robert Perry. Margaret (tah tah) is also survived by 13 beloved grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was most happy and proud of her adoring sons and daughters, daughters-in-law, sons-in law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Margaret was an active member of St. Basil the Great Melkite Catholic Church of Lincoln, where she chaired many committees such as the St. Basil’s Alter Society, Syrian-Ladies Catholic Society, the Bazaar committee, and sang in the Arabic choir for over 60 years. For her many years of devoted service to the Church, the family was awarded the Cross of Jerusalem. During her many years of marriage to her best friend, companion and husband, Sam, they traveled extensively throughout the world including the Middle East and the Holy Land. Professionally, Margaret worked in Pawtucket City Hall for over 40 years as a Probate Court Clerk. She was a founding member of the “Tuesday Night Card Club” that met regularly for over 50 years. In her later years, she enjoyed visits from her children and grandchildren, cooking and teaching them authentic Arabic cuisine and watching Lifetime movies. She will be missed by her family and everyone who knew her.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Liturgy of Christian Burial Wednesday, September 1st at 10:00 AM in Saint Basil The Great Church, 15 Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Visiting hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM in Saint Basil The Great Church.
The burial will be private.

memory of Margaret, would be appreciated.
