Mrs. Savelly was the mother of my best friend on 9th grade, Karen. I remember loving to talk with her about her WWII days in the USO sharing memories about Jerry Lewis' first wife, Patti. Karen and I had a great time, hanging out at the Old Farm pool, going on long walks through our beautiful West Bloomfield neighborhood, attending the 2 pm Beatles concert at Olympic stadium back in August,1965.
