I fondly recall walks down the street to visit her and Uncle Charlie -- really my mom's uncle, my great-uncle -- and being in the same class at St. Joe's grade school with Chipper, God rest him too. Nana was a waitress for many years. When I started waiting tables, she would tell me and others that "I had followed in her footsteps"... she was always proud of that.
