Went to the funeral of my dear friend Margaret today. A few years ago I was frustrated with Margaret because she moved from our town of Tulsa, OK to be near her grandchildren in Houston, TX. I understood why she had to move, but she didn't clear it with me first. I wasn't ready. When she crossed over on November 3, 2020, I felt that same frustration. I understood that heaven was ready for her, but she didn't clear it with me first. I wasn't ready.
Today, at her memorial service, a...

Gary, we are so sad to hear about Margaret's passing. My memories of you two adopting Amanda is one of the most inspiring stories I have to tell about being an attorney and assisting others. The waiting in a Moore parking lot for Amanda's mother to escape from her Father's apartment and never making it out that night (we waited until 4:00 a.m. to get Amanda's mother out and into a safe house) are indelibly written in my memories. Yet, we were ultimately successful in getting Amanda to both...

I worked with Gary years ago and loved being around Margaret! She was a great host and loved entertaining people in her gorgeous home. She was a great woman.

I miss you. I miss your letters. I'm sorry that I hardly ever wrote back. I wish I could see you one more time, so I could write you a letter and place chess with Gary again. Your presence is always welcomed. Every summer, and ever other season. My dear Margaret.

I am so sorry to hear about Margaret's passing. I remember her beauiful smile. Her great laugh. And most of all her kind heart. My prayers are with Gary and the girls.

My sincere condolences to her loving family at this time. I first met Margaret in 1978 when she was teaching exercise class at the Bethany YMCA. She became a friend and mentor to me then and ever since. Fondest memories of her unconditional care, wisdom and love she so willingly shared with me and others. I still have a tiny little cork magnet of hers on my ‘fridge. So humbly grateful to have been blessed with knowing this dear sweet lady.
