Not sure what to say?

I remember Bunnie fondly from our freshman dorm, Bridgeman, at Mount Holyoke College. She was invariably cheerful and kind and a far better person than I was.

Ms. Tent was the most engaged and engaging math teacher I ever had, in a pretty math-centric education, and a very kind woman as well. She was always looking to address different learning styles, and even when people learned the main lesson quickly she encouraged them to try different approaches and ways of thinking about problems, a spirit that served me well in years to come. She often saw and cultivated potential in people who did not see it in themselves. She was a great asset to all of...

Our love and prayers are with you all. May God give you peace and comfort always. Much love, Chris & Beth

Mrs. Tent was an incredibly giving soul and a wonderful teacher. I count myself and my classmates lucky to have experienced her guidance and enthusiasm. She will be greatly missed. Thank you Mrs. Tent.

Ms. Tent taught me about math, kindness, bravery and honesty in my formative years. She coached us at her house after school and treated us to popcorn and soft drinks. Her books are a joy in themselves. She was a role model and I am deeply saddened by her passing. My condolences to her family.

Bunnie was a childhood friend, much beloved with brothers John and David. It was a delight to discover that she shared a keen interest in mathematics and mathematicians. Our grandkids will get to know her through her biographies. North Amherst and the much wider world are missing a champion for learning. Deepest sympathy to family, friends and colleagues. //Peter//

Bunnie, was a wonderful friend. We are saddened that she has passed on. She fought the cruel disease with grace and dignity and not feeling sorry for herself; an example for all of us to follow.

Mrs. Tent was the best math teacher I ever had. She was deeply invested in all her students and concerned with making mathematics applicable. Her conceptual approach to teaching is as influential as it is helpful.

Bunnie and I became good friends while teaching at Altamont and Dean and I enjoyed our visits with she and Jim in Frederick. Will miss her wry humor and zest for new ideas .....Ellen Gambrell
