Margaret "Peggy" A. Urquhart, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, and friend passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 80, in Gilroy, California.
Peggy was born in Rockford, Illinois, but mainly grew up in Athens, Georgia. Upon graduating from her cherished University of Georgia, she moved to California where she met the love of her life, Tom Urquhart. They had two children, JoAlyce and Jeff. Peggy also has three treasured grandchildren, Jaxon, Taylor and Presley.
Peggy, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her for the way she lived her life and for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Peggy will be remembered for her incredible ability to make each of us feel special. Whether it was remembering our favorite meals, listening intently to our stories for the hundredth time, or offering words of encouragement when we needed them most. She always knew exactly what we needed. Peggy's love also extended beyond our family. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome in her home-friends, neighbors, even strangers. Peggy treated them all like family.
She loved the Lord. She prayed and shared her faith with others and her family. She attended Bethel Lutheran Church in Cupertino and loved all the connections she made there. Her dedication to her faith and her desire to bring light to those in need exemplified her joyful and generous nature. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her kindness touched many lives.
