Margaret "Lavone" Campbell Welch, born January 5, 1941, in Pine Prairie, LA, and a long-time resident of Kentwood, LA, has passed away peacefully at her home on June 16, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. She was a member of East Fork Baptist Church and was a loving and caring person who never met a stranger and enjoyed doing for others. She was a wonderful servant of God. Lavone is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Farjustia Campbell, brother, Ober Campbell and sisters, Faye Pike and Bobbie Johnson, and her great granddaughter Lily Rae Hose. She is survived by her husband of 66 years Charles Welch, daughters Kim (Mike) McNabb and Stephanie (Stewart) Pedigo, grandchildren Dennis Pedigo, Leslie Pedigo, Christopher (Brita) McNabb and Landon McNabb, and great grandchildren Evy Hose, Audrey Hose, Haidyn McNabb, Amilya McNabb, Maddox McNabb, Parker McNabb, Paige McNabb and Paxton McNabb. Visitation will be at East Fork Baptist Church, 17280 LA Hwy 1054, Kentwood, LA from 6:00PM until 9:00PM on Tuesday and from 9:00AM until religious services at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Services conducted by Reverend Jay Avance. Interment will follow at East Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory to a charity of your choice. McKneely Funeral Home, Kentwood, in charge of arrangements.
