Margaret “Peggy” (Brodrick) Windward, 76, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018 in River Terrace Healthcare Center, Lancaster, after a period of declining health.


She leaves her husband of 54 years, Patrick J. Windward, III; a son, Patrick J. Windward, IV, of Gardner; two daughters: Andrea J. Windward of Worcester and Melissa A. Knight of Gardner; two brothers: David Brodrick of Sterling and Richard Brodrick of Newburgh, NY; two sisters: Phyllis Brodrick and Marcia Brodrick, both of Clinton; two grandchildren: Natalie Windward and Carl Neimi, and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by two brothers: Earl and Robert Brodrick; two sisters: Elizabeth Cloutier and Madeline Taylor, and her son-in-law, Michael J. Knight.


Peggy was born and raised in Clinton, the daughter of George and Grace (Watson) Brodrick. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1963.


Peggy worked in the cafeteria at Nashoba Regional High School for 30 years before her retirement. She was a member and Past President of the Clinton Emblem Club and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and gardening.


Peggy’s funeral will be held on Sunday, December 16, 2018, with a Service at 5:00 pm in the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church Street, Clinton.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, preceding the service. Burial will take place in Reservoir Pines Cemetery, Clinton, at a date and time to be announced.  In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that donations be made in memory of Peggy, to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452 or visit www.alz.org
