Peggy Wines was a dear friend and supporter of nurse educators. Her years of experience made her a wise advisor. Her accomplishments at Helene Fuld College of Nursing were legendary and she was a true leader in the field. Most important of all, Peg was full of fun and vigor. I attended the 5:00 PM Mass this evening at St. Catherine's Church and was shocked when hearing Peggy's name being prayed for at Mass. I first met Peggy at the Fordham University Faculty Wive's Club many years ago and always enjoyed our interactions over the years. We were all so shocked and saddened by Peggy's unexpected passing, and missed her so much at the recent Helene Fuld Graduation. She played such an important role in nursing education, and the many, many RNs that she helped up the career ladder will remember her with deep gratitude and admiration.
