Peggy Wines was a dear friend and supporter of nurse educators. Her years of experience made her a wise advisor. I attended the 5:00 PM Mass this evening at St. Catherine's Church and was shocked when hearing Peggy's name being prayed for at Mass. I first met Peggy at the Fordham University Faculty Wive's Club many years ago and always enjoyed our interactions over the years. I know of her accomplished life as a nurse and devoted Christian family woman through our frequent by chance meetings when she would bring me up to date. We were all so shocked and saddened by Peggy's unexpected passing, and missed her so much at the recent Helene Fuld Graduation. She played such an important role in nursing education, and the many, many RNs that she helped up the career ladder will remember her with deep gratitude and admiration.
