Not sure what to say?

David, I am so sorry to here about Margaret. We had no idea and I can't imagine the heartbreak that you felt. We need to talk. I miss you my friend.
Your friend,
Hal

For Margaret...an inspiration who's light will forever shine in those whose lives she touched.

On the path to teaching, FINALLY! SO wish I could share my future successes with my mentor, and practical bday twin. I incidentally mentioned to my best friend how badly her breath smelled after lunch, just before 8th grade target. I made her cry. Mrs Wingate, rightfully so, sat on me with a beanbag to force a laugh and teach me a lesson. Margaret will always be remembered in our hearts as an amazing teacher and source of inspiration. She was an absolutely beautiful soul who will be missed by the many whose lives she knowingly and unknowingly touched.

I really don't know what I could write here to encompass what Margaret means to me. She was my first teacher during a very hard time in my life, though I continued to seek her wisdom and mentorship throughout high school. Once I graduated, I was proud to consider her a dear friend. Margaret has long been a guidepost for me--a truly kind and compassionate soul, and the kind of woman I still hope I can one day be. Rest in peace, Margaret. And know how dearly you are loved.

Mrs. Wingate was an amazing teacher and woman. I am very sad to hear that she passed. She was the first teacher to bring history to life.

Her students were called "Gifted". But we all agree that the "gift" was that she was our teacher.

Learning of Margaret's passing has been very sad for me; she had a profound effect on my life in many ways.
To Martha and David, I offer my sincere condolences during this time of mourning.

This is a sad loss, for her family and friends, and for the many, many students she taught who remember her fondly, as I do.
