Margarete Louise Monette

Mrs. Monette was my English teacher back in Vicksburg. I really enjoyed her class. I remember she had a chevette she talked about, "monettes chevette" she said.

Mrs. Monette was my humanities teacher in the 1970s at Vicksburg High School. She introduced me to art, architecture, and different views and cultures from around the world
Instilling and nurturing curiosity that I still have today.

Our deepest sympathys are with The Monette family. Margarete (Mom ) was like a mother to us. She was a strong willed person and very practical.We helped her move several times earning us the nickname of "Dem Movers" (as her mom referred to us). We always enjoyed being around her. We got a chance to see her paintings more than once...Very impressive! Whats even more impressive is that she very successfully raised four kids by herself after her husband died. I took Art classes with Margarete at WMU. She was very talented and creative. I greatly admired her work. She gave me lots of Art pointers when I was getting started. She was a wonderful person.
