Margaret Annette Pearson, 82 of Springhill, Louisiana passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011 at the Summit Health and Rehabilitation Center in Taylor, Arkansas. She was born on April 12, 1929 in Springhill to the late John Gant and Verby Lee (Webb) Cason. She was a clerk in the jewelry department for Walmart, a member of the Springhill United Methodist Church, and an unselfish person. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. Her family gathered every Sunday for lunch for one of her home cooked meals. Her great great grandmother was given a gun by Jessie James and she always carried it in her apron. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Charlotte Annette Pearson, and a great granddaughter, Cloud McKenzie LaFleur. Margaret is survived by her husband Denzel “Cook� Pearson of Springhill; two sons, Ted Pearson and wife Shelia, Jack Pearson and wife Barbara both of Taylor, Arkansas; two daughters, Melanie Richardson and husband Pete of Taylor, Leah Jo Dauzat and husband Mike of Springhill; brother, Johnny Webb Cason of New Iberia, Louisiana; sister, Odessa Wynn of Shongaloo, Louisiana; ten grandchildren, Dustin Pearson, Amber Pearson, Ben Pearson, Stacy Pearson, Chad Lawrence LaFleur, Lindsay Bell, Natasha Bailey, Brenton Dauzat, Corey Barnett, Stacey Landry; and nineteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10:00 am at the Springhill City Cemetery with Bro. John Downs and Rev. Bradley Warbritton officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Springhill, Louisiana. Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Dauzat, Chad LaFleur, Pete Richardson, Brenton Dauzat, Jack Pearson, Dusty Pearson, and Ted Pearson. www.lewisfuneralhome.biz
