It was great sadness to hear of the death of Dr. Margery Enix. I met Margery at Indiana University where as music majors, we performed cello and piano recitals. She became my dear friend who most crucially guided me patiently on how to prepare for the doctoral exams.

Dr. Enix was my theory and form and analysis teacher at Chapman. Her wealth of knowledge, patience and humor in her teaching style was like no other. Refreshing! I'm honored to have had her as a professor and to grasp the love of the cello. I "Thank You" for sharing a part of you on earth. Enjoy your new life above and say "Hello" to my mom above as she and others will welcome you with love. I will be truly miss you.

Dr. Enix was a dear friend and esteemed colleague of mine at both Indiana University and Chapman University. She was an accomplished cellist and a renowned scholar and teacher. She was a delightful person with a terrific sense of humor and was a loyal friend. May she rest in peace.
