Margie Lee Stanley

Margie Stanley, 85 years old, passed away peacefully with her son Dennis and daughter in-law Theresa, by her side on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Tuscola County Medical Facility. Margie was born on September 26, 1939 to the late Edward and Melvina (Gibson) Isaac, in Wheelwright, Kentucky. Margie and Dennis Stanley were married for     70 years before he passed away 5 years ago. They were united in marriage on February 16, 1955.

Margie loved to garden and could make anything grow that was green. She enjoyed walking and could often be seen with her neighbors and friends in her neighborhood on a daily walk. She was also known for her great southern cooking, and was a caregiver to many friends and loved ones. Margie especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing and telling them many stories.

Margie is survived by her son Dennis and his wife Theresa of Caseville; her brother Eulis Isaac; grandchildren Douglas (Theresa) Stanley, Karen (Justin) Kime; great-grandchildren Jacob Stanley, Isabell Stanley, Cecilia Kime and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters and spouses; Macie (Teddy) Burke, Faye (Dickie) Hart, Elmeda (Bob) Porter and sister-in-law Janice Isaac.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Tuscola County Medical Facility for the compassionate and loving care that she received.

The family will have a private burial at Michigan Memorial Cemetery in Flat Rock, Michigan at a later date.
