I met Margo when I was a waitress at a restaurant called Pronto. They had a jazz night each week, and the staff always looked forward to those great evenings. Margo was such a sweet lady, so kind and such a playful and sometimes sly sense of humor. A beautiful big smile, and an infectious laugh that came from her heart. She had such a positive, loving energy. She was gracious to everyone, from making sure each musician she was playing with got well deserved credit and attention, to chatting...

A dear Lady, just over seventy ,with a voice ever so heavenly ,
has joined Gods' great choir ,in His wonderful vast empire.
A voice so wonderfully unique ,with great range and technique ,
will find its special place above ,for all of heaven to cherish and love.

Our memories we'll now closer hold ,of days gone by and stories untold.
The joy and...

Margo was an amazing woman who could sing the sox off of any ballad. There were several occasions where she had me crying. She brought raw emotion and vulnerability into her interpretations and that left her audience truly moved. Margo introduced me to my first beau too. One night at the Westward Ho she asked if a nice man could join me and a friend, because he was sitting alone. She was generous in so many ways and I owe her for so many wonderful moments from Page Four to Westward Ho to...

Margo's presence was a present for my mind, body, and soul. My body was a happy recepient of her hugs; my mind cleansed by her infectious laugh; and my soul enriched by the songs she sang at the church I attended. Wherever she sang there was joy. I experienced her as a professional singer and knew her as a kind, gentle, fun-loving, and spiritual woman who honored me by being my friend. When I am quiet and peaceful I still hear your gifts coming from the ethers; eternal blessings dear lady.
