I got to know Margot over 30 years ago. She is someone that once you meet her you will never forget her. She was spunky, kind, funny and I remember her being a good cook! She taught me how to steam squash and she made me her German spaetzle (sp). She was ahead of her times in the 80’s, wondering why we didn’t wear gloves while we sliced her meats at the deli :) I loved her so much and I’m not sure she even knew that. I was privileged to know Margot for many years. Her honesty, directness, caring and kindness were qualities I admired. She loved her husband, John and I know she was happy to see him again. Her love for John Jr. and his family was unbounded. John and Carla, you were always so good and to your mother. I got to know Margot from her attending the same Heart Rehabilitation exercise days at st. Mark's Hospital where my dad went in at the same time, she was a kind and wonderful woman to speak with I am glad I got to know her God bless her and God bless her family
