Mari later worked for the Center for Women in Government-Liberty Partnerships Program in Albany, N.Y., and Literacy Volunteers of America in Schenectady, N.Y.

District, and an active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church of Albany, where she sang in the choir for 17 years. The family wishes to thank Fr. Stuart Shelby and Deacon Elizabeth Tucker of All Saints Church in Winter Park, Fla., for their prayers and support. We also wish to thank Dr. Ahmed Al-Hazzouri and the staff at Florida Cancer Specialists in Clermont, as well as Dr. Dae Won Kim and the staff at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, for the care and treatment they provided.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Mari to the choir at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Albany or the American Cancer Society-pancreatic cancer research.
Funeral services will be held at All Saints Church, 338 East Lyman Ave., Winter Park, Fla. Mari will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont, N.Y. A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Church in Albany, at a date to be determined.

My sincere condolences in the loss of our dear Mari Laura. As a child in San Antonio and a member of Jack and Jill I always looked forward to visiting the Preacher home with my friend Mari Laura. She was the apple of her parents eyes. She was beautiful outside and in. Our days San Antonio were awesome. She will be missed but her beautiful life will be a constant reminder of God's Goodness and Mercy!! With love Linda Knight Burkley

Oh Mary. We had fun playing dolls and paper dolls under piano. We had fun sharing secrets especially our boy friends. You and I were growing up special friends until you left home and married. He took you away from us. I´ve often have thought of you hoping you were happy. I know you were when you left. Time had passed. You are forever graved into my heart. I see you later in heaven. I know you will be there. For you were one of Gods angels. Save me an heavenly doll to play with. I love you my...

I´m so sorry to hear this news; and our condolences to the family. Although I´m a few years older than Mari, I knew her well when her family lived close to our family in San Antonio, Texas; we used to go over her to house to play shuffle board in their backyard. She was an only child so we used to keep her company for her mother - kind of like a built-in babysitters. May she Rest In Peace.
