Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Obituary

Maria Zuniga Baeza, 81 of Midland, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021.

Our beautiful mother was born in Ojinaga Chihuahua to Pascual Zuniga Olivas and Ana Josefa Urías. She grew up in a small suburb outside Ojinaga known as El Paradero. Working the fields and harvesting my grandfathers crops was a very important part of their every day life. Losing her mother at the age of 2yrs old and having only her father as the only parental figure in her life was a trying time.

This to was where she met the love of her life Our Father Lauro Baeza. At age 22 on September 8th 1962 they were united in holy matrimony at Nuestra Parroquia De Jesús Nazareno and were blessed with three children, Martin Baeza (Melinda Baeza), Rosa Yorkman (Tony Yorkman) and Nora Tamez (Mark Tamez)

Mom was our prayer warrior, caregiver, cook, baker, babysitter, and seamstress. She enjoyed spending quality time with all her family, dancing and always being joyful. She loved praying her rosary as her faith is a firm foundation of who she really was. She loved all her seven grandchildren unconditionally, Samantha Baeza, Stefani Baeza, Anthony Yorkman, Jonathan Yorkman, Marcus Tamez, Nicholas Tamez, Zachary Tamez. As well as her three great grandchildren Tatiana Tamez, Marcus Aureliusz Tamez, Adalee Tamez

She is survived by her loving husband, Lauro Baeza; sister Manuela Galindo, and her brother, Ricardo Zuniga.

She is preceded in death by her parents; father Pascual Zuniga and her mother Ana Josefa Urias Zuniga; brothers, Mauro Zuniga, Anastasio Zuniga and Pascual Zuniga; sisters, Romula Zuniga, Andrea Valenzuela Zuniga and Alicia Hernandez Zuniga

Rosary will be Wednesday December 1st 2021 at 7:00 pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home, 2508 N. Big Spring Street, Midland, TX 79705.

A funeral mass has been set for Thursday December 2nd 2021 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Shrine, 1401 Garden Ln, Midland, TX 79701.

Pallbearers for the service will be Anthony Yorkman, Marcus Tamez, Nicholas Tamez, Jonathan Yorkman, Zachary Tamez  and Mark Tamez.
