I remember them well. I remember that big mural in the waiting room. They were our Doctors when I was growing up.

When the Bauer family came to Granite City Ingrid and I used to play together. We attended Sacred Heart School and they lived in the house across the street. I have very fond memories of the family.

I can remember trying to speak German to Dr. Bauer on several occasions at Rosewood, only to have her stop me and say "you better stick to English". We would often laugh and talk in the halls as I was waiting on Kathleen Knueven to be attended to.
God Bless her and her family!

Dr. Bauer's Family--
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Dr. Bauer was a wonderful woman and I loved the weekend morning ritual of reading her the announcements and menus and speaking to her in what little German I know.
It was wonderful to understand her when she would smile and speak German back to me.
Your family is in my prayers
Sincerely,
Katie

I remember when I was a little girl going to the office. I remember how the beautiful walls were painted and how nice everyone was. I had to be 4-5 years old. That was in the '50's
God Bless them both!
