Maria Garcia Bazaldua entered this world on October 3,1922 and was escorted through the gates of Heaven on February 16, 2010. Maria is survived by her husband of 65 years: Juan Francisco Bazaldua; daughters, Maria Diana Rendon and Yolanda Carrillo; sons, Juan Bazaldua (Sylvia), Gilbert Bazaldua (Rosalinda) and Arthur Bazaldua (Diane); grandchildren, Cristina Bazaldua, Cynthia Hernandez (Charles), Johnny Bazaldua (Tabitha), Leticia Gibson (Stuart), Brandon Bazaldua, Phillip Ray Rendon, Veronica Rendon, Brenda Sasidharan (Vinnie), Eric Bazaldua, and Eddie Carrillo, Jr.; great-grandchildren, A.J. Bazaldua, Amber Bazaldua, Calista Hernandez, Cayla Grace Hernandez, Isabella Gibson, Cheyenne Bazaldua, and Berlyn Talamantez. Mi Amor y Mama: We will never forget your smile and we will always cherish your strength. As we hold you close in memory, even though we are apart, your spirit will live on within our hearts. A special thanks to Huebner Creek Rehabilitation for making our mother as comfortable as possible on her last days. To all of our friends and families for all their generous support and love especially to our cousin, Helen Stillman for all her help and for being the strong pillar that we needed during this difficult time. It was truly and deeply appreciated. Visitation will begin on Thursday, February 18, at 1:00 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Angleus Chapel. Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, February 19, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church. Interment will follow in San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery # 2. On behalf of Laura Ann (Gabriel & Yolanda Silva's daughter on Townhill Dr.) I offer my condolences. I fondly remember Mrs. Bazaldua as the perfect example of what a Mom & Grandma should represent; love, concern, happiness....... I was too young to think about her role as a wife. But now, I myself a wife, I realize her strong committment to her marriage. I'm certain she offered her husband of 65 years unconditional love.
