Ria was a special friend to us, and we are so lucky to have known this wonderful, creative, and generous woman for so many years. Before she became ill, she always had time for phone chats and visits...we always looked forward to going to see how she had decorated her different homes, all with the artistic flair so unique to her...we will never forget her...thank you Marge, for introducing her to us all those years ago, sending love to all your family...she is free now, and at peace.

Ria was my neighbour on Kenneth Street. I have such fond memories of Ria. My mom lived with us for several years with dementia being a reluctant visitor. Someday the home day stay person would not turn up on time. I would need to dash to work and without fail Ria would run down the hill to visit with mom until the care taker would turn up. I will be forever grateful for her kind help and friendship.
