Maria Estela and I were life-long friends and roommates during our senior year at the University of Texas in Austin. We enjoyed wonderful and VERY memorable times together which I will continue to cherish. God bless her soul ... may she rest in peace.

Maria Estealla and I were the closest of friends growing up so we shared many life ecperiences.. It wss a strong bond which endured even though we were in different cities for many of our adult years.. She was my "prima favorita" and I feel our connection still.. She will be forever in my heart .

Maria was for few years my co-worker, working at Cabot Westside Health Center. I remember Maria as a lady who was always smiling, enjoying what she was doing such as teaching all aspects about nutrition, particularly to underserved communities. She really cared for people; she was a good friend and always supportive. She loved her Hispanic background, so she was very delightful to talk and teach her classes in Spanish. Rest is peace dear Maria. My deepest condolences to John and daughter...
