Read MoreI was so sorry to hear the news recently about my dear friend Maria. We attended the University of Minnesota College of Education together and were in a cohort called Project 30. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and as the years went on and we had our families, we got together less often. She will always stay in my heart as one of my favorite people. Maria had such a beautiful personality and soul. I worked with her at the Multicultural Resource Center in the early 70's we were all young teachers trying to be our best and do our best for students and families in St Paul Public Schools. We all moved on and became principals. Maria worked tirelessly with students and families in Westside schools. She truly loved them! She dearly loved her children and frequently spoke highly of them.
