I was so sad to hear about Maria passing away! I am sorry for your loss, Joe and family.
I'm also sorry I can't make the wake and funeral due the bad weather and fact that I live a bit far on the South Shore of Boston.
Maria's life story has many similarities to mine, as we both came to the US years ago as teenagers from the same town of Pietraperzia, Italy. There was always a sense of sisterhood whenever we'd see each other.
