Not sure what to say?

As I get older I try to connect with my past so I looked Maria up and saw this notice. I was about 14 when I met Maria at her aunt's house in West Islip where she visited for the summer and we became fast friends, for me "puppy love". She called heself "Sandy". We stayed in touch, she took me out for my 16th birthday...dinner at Foffe's restaurant and to the movie version of West Side Story. Maria also came to my homecoming weekend at Wilkes College. Unfortunately we lost touch over the...

CousinMaria (although we called her Mia when we were young) was intelligent, successful and a compassionate lady. When my mother, Maria's Aunt, passed we lost touch as we each raised our family and were involved in our careers. Sorry that I did not hear of her illness and eventual passing until much later.

Ten years. It is hard to imagine but she was wonderful and smart and gorgeous. Greatly loved by her family and friends, and long missed.

She was a great tourist. When a girlfriend dumped me (many yrs ago now of course) she happened to be in London at...

Maria and Emil

Thanks for your kind words. Maria was a very good friend of mine, and many others. She was well loved by friends near and far, old and new. Judi Francis ([email protected])

Maria was a good friend of mine at Bishop McDonnell High. She invited me to sleep overs with other friends. I knew she was a superstar. I feel proud of her accomplishments. Something made me look her up and I was sorry to find that she has passed. She was sweet, kind and brilliant. I cherish the times we had together. She lives on in my memories forever.

We met on The Rotterdam when we were 13. Maria was traveling with Aunt Mary and I with my family. Soon after her mom died and we spent almost every weekend together either at her home in Brooklyn or mine in NJ. We lost touch o and off for many years. We had just reunited again when she was diagnosed. I wanted to come out to Brookyn to help but she said she'd rather set for lunch...until she was unable and then she withdrew back to "her" world. I have loved her and will always love her! ...
