Srta. Heimpel and Sra. Costa were the best tag team Spanish teachers that any high school could ever have. Although no me gusta el subjuntivo. A very sad day. What a great teacher and person.

As a former counselor and vice principal at Helix High School, I had many opportunities to interact with Maria in my office. We had wonderful laughs and serious conversations. I loved her friendship.

She was one of my favorite teachers at Helix High School. Her humor and passion for teaching made learning fun. I have fond memories of her and her Spanish Classes; I will treasure them always.
Vaya con Diós.
